Instructional Quality

To ensure the quality of online-blended courses, the CSU provides extensive instructional quality training and support to faculty, helping them to design and deliver courses in a way that ensures success by the greatest number and diversity of students. This is accomplished through two training programs from which faculty and staff may choose training:

  • CSU Quality Online Learning and Teaching (QOLT) program
    • Focuses on course design and delivery of online-blended courses
    • 58-item self/peer-review instrument openly available for use
    • 58-item student-feedback instrument openly available for use
    • Extensive training materials openly available for use
    • Online repository of indexed teaching exemplars
    • Awards and recognition program for CSU faculty
  • Quality Matters
    • Focuses on course design for online courses
    • 43-item rubric available to subscribers
    • Research library openly available for access
