The Quality Matters™ program is a faculty-centered, peer-review process designed to certify the quality of online courses and online components. The primary components of QM include a set of standards (rubric) for the design of online courses, a peer-review process for applying the standards to provide feedback for faculty in the continuous improvement of their online and blended courses, and professional development opportunities for faculty. The QM process certifies the design of courses as meeting shared standards of best practice. See more regarding the QM Rubric.
The CSU has a systemwide agreement with Quality Matters™, allowing our CSU campus affiliates to subscribe at a cost of $1,155 (reg. $3,465).
Quality Matters™ provided a 45-minute webinar to the CSU outlining the benefits of completing QM training. Those interested may review this March 24, 2014 webinar recording or download the PowerPoint slides. This information is also available at the QM Subscriber Benefits page.
