Course Review Application (Stage 2 of 4)

Before applying for a formal course review:

  • Complete an informal self-review of the course using either CSU QLT or QM (via the QM portal). Make sure to document for each objective the evidence where each objectives is MET in the comments/feedback section.
  • Course is informally reviewed at the campus level
  • Course must have been already taught  online (ie. Mature course)
  • Course is taught 100% fully online
  • Course has measurable course AND modular objectives
  • Review the “Top 10 Commonly Missed Critical QM/QLT Objectives” resource document
  • Run accessibility check on your course and make as much accessibility remediation to materials as possible (Note: Rqd for campuses who adopt Ally- CI, Chico, EB, Fresno, Fullerton, Humboldt, Monterey Bay, Sacramento, San Marcos )

Application Process


  1. Campus QA Lead completes the CSU Course Review Application and sends the syllabus, module objectives, and QLT/QM self-review to Ashley Skylar (CSU Quality Assurance Manager)
  2. Campus QA Lead is notified whether the course meets criteria for online course maturity. If the course does not meet criteria, campus QA Lead will be given reasons why and encouraged to reapply when conditions met.
  3. If the course meets criteria for online course maturity, the instructor completes the Course Review Agreement.
