Course Evaluations and Survey Instruments

Course evaluations/survey instruments allow users to develop and implement course evaluations, assessments, and research. It can be delivered online as well as by paper. It can be public or just for a certain course or instructor.

Scantron Class Climate

Scantron Class Climate is a survey instrument with application in course evaluations.  Class Climate can be used to deliver online and paper-based course evaluations (mixed mode), with the ability to combine both data sets for analysis.

Qualtrics

Qualtrics is a web-based survey and research software tool available for use by faculty, staff, and students. Qualtrics can be used to capture survey results from a publicly-available survey, or from users who are specifically given access to a survey. It may be used to:

  • Assist faculty, staff, and students with collecting data for research project or assignments
  • Assess user satisfaction with academic or administrative programs or services
  • Collect requests for service or assistance in place of a traditional HTML form
